Mission of the Anamosa Chamber
To promote & meet the needs of business and industry and to create the best community in which to live, work and do business.
Nestled among the rolling hills along the Wapsipinicon River, Anamosa is where small-town charm meets forward-looking energy. We may be small, but we think big. Anamosa offers the warmth and welcome of a close-knit community, with just enough momentum to embrace progress and possibility.
Visitors and residents alike will find plenty to explore. Curious about history with an edge? Step inside the Iowa State Penitentiary Museum and discover stories unlike any other. Love antiques and retail shopping? Our unique local shops are ready to help you find just the right treasure.
If the outdoors calls your name, Anamosa answers. From fishing and hiking to canoeing, camping, and golfing, the Wapsipinicon State Park and two beautiful golf courses offer year-round adventure and scenic views.
Arts and culture more your style? Catch a performance at Starlighters II Community Theater, or celebrate Anamosa’s most famous son with a visit to the Grant Wood Museum and School.
In the fall, come for the colors and stay for the fun at the Annual Pumpkinfest and Ryan Norlin GIANT Pumpkin Weigh-Off, held the first Saturday in October. It’s a lively, family-friendly celebration that brings the whole community together.
And that’s just the beginning.
If there’s anything we can do to make your visit more enjoyable, we invite you to reach out to the Anamosa Area Chamber of Commerce.
In Anamosa, we think of you as a friend we haven’t met yet—and we can’t wait to welcome you.
